City of Fort Worth
Ranked the 13th largest and one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S., the City of Fort Worth is home to more than 800,000 residents. Fort Worth is stimulated by several university communities: Texas Christian University, Texas Wesleyan, University of North Texas Health Science Center, and Texas A&M University School of Law, and many multinational corporations, including Bell Helicopter, Lockheed Martin, American Airlines, BNSF Railway, Pier 1 Imports, XTO Energy and RadioShack.
The Fort Worth Stockyards are a National Historic District. Today, the neighborhood is characterized by its many bars, restaurants, and notable country music venues such as Billy Bob’s. Fort Worth celebrity chef Tim Love of Iron Chef America and Top Chef Masters operates multiple restaurants in the neighborhood.
Texas Christian University (TCU) is less than 5 miles from downtown and has been nationally competitive in football, baseball, and men’s and women’s basketball.
